Crescent Dunes

We spent a few days at the Crescent Dunes just outside of Tonopah last week (04/20/06-04/22/06). We left midday Saturday as the kids had a race in Fallon that night. Here Cody is changing from sand tires to dirt tires in preparation for the race. Unfortunately, Fallon was bombarded by a massive thunderstorm just before the races were set to start and neither of the kids got to race that night. Needless to say, not only did we hear the groaning about not getting to race, but also the whining about leaving camp early. Oh well, the next race is right around the corner and closer to home.
Shelby is kissing her new friend good-bye. She released him safely back into the wild before we left the dunes. Mom is not only a supporter, but an enforcer, of catch and release.
