Just Some Notes...
Things seem to be picking up speed around here. We're closing in on the end of another school year. Shelby will be celebrating with a promotion from Kindergarten to first grade. Cody will be celebrating with final exams. I can't believe he will be a senior next year; Neither can he!!!
Aside from completing the school year, we are also preparing for Shelby's dance recital to be held June 29. This will bring to a close her third year of dance.
The quad racing season is also in full swing. We are doing alot more traveling this year as not all the races are in Moundhouse. We are also going to Fallon and Hawthorne, not quite so close to home. However, both kids are competitive in the points race so we feel we should be sure they get to all the races. Cody is doing amazingly well. So far he has won all of his races this year. Granted, some come easier than others. He has alot of competition this year and is proving himself to be a talented rider. Shelby has been very consistent. Unfortunately, her talent has outgrown her quad, but her body has not. There are a number of competitors in her class riding the same brand and size of quad. In order to level the playing field a little and make it more a matter of ability rather than just speed, we have ordered a quad just like the others for her. We know she is capable, she just gets extremely frustrated because her quad won't go any faster. It promises to be an exciting year at the races! I'll try to include race photos soon.
