The Two Faces of Mother Nature

Our first night at the Crescent Dunes presented us with a near-majestic sunset. It was the most brilliant orange with just a few scattered clouds way off over the horizon. And the evening was so peaceful.
The sands of time? No! Merely the Crescent Dunes on the move. What a difference a night makes! This was the other face of Mother Nature we woke up to the next morning. Needless to say, we spent much of the day looking out the trailer windows and toasting good friends (in the "grown up" trailer). The kids got along incredibly well and spent much of their day watching movies in the "kid" trailer. How camping has changed!

Cody's 17!!!

Yep, it's true! Cody turned 17 on April 15. I can't believe he's grown up so fast. He's almost as old as I am already. Some neighbors and Cody's best friend, Eddie, helped him celebrate his big day. His girlfriend took him out for a romantic dinner at the park the night before...

......but not before he opened the presents she gave him.
